Murder- Suicide- in the suburb- #JohnsCreek #Georgia Johns Creek police officers responded to a home off Glen Castle Court in the St. Ives Country Club for a welfare check on Sunday afternoon.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Three people are dead, including a young teen, in what police believe was a murder-suicide.

Johns Creek police officers responded to a home off Glen Castle Court in the St. Ives Country Club for a welfare check on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as James Choi, 52, Myoung Choi, 52, and 15-year-old Grace Choi. Police said all three were family members who lived in the home. They believe James Choi is the suspect.

"This tragic incident has deeply affected not only the family and neighbors, but our entire community," said Mark J. Mitchell, chief of police. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to those impacted and ask that the community keep them in their thoughts during this incredibly difficult time."

Grace Choi was a sophomore at Mount Pisgah Christian School where they said she was "treasured and beloved." They said they are "heartbroken and devastated" by the news, adding that they are providing support to her classmates and the community.

"The loss of Grace has deeply affected our school community. At this time, our priority is to support the emotional health of our students, helping them process this tragedy and reminding them that they are deeply loved and cared for," they said in a statement.

No further details have been released. Return to Atlanta News First for updates on this developing story.
