Why it matters to help an abused victim and her child!- The macro theory of 'the need to help"

motherandchild The need to help-

The economic effect, simply put:

Without sending you 'the reader' back to your macro theory class  consider this first

i. 'Okuns' law* for every 1% unemployment above the natural rate there is a 2% GDP gap.

ii. The Keynesian multiplier **(K)- a boost in government spending will boost consumer spending

Given the aforementioned theories consider now the question why it matters to help?

An abused woman receives counseling with her child, she enrolls in a 12-week tuition free business training at Women Are Dreamers Too, the child now enrolls  in WADT's after-school math and science tutoring.

She becomes a successful entrepreneur, the child gains acceptance into area college, The mother (dv survivor) frees social services, able to buy goods and services in her community. The child is busy with school, not loitering the neighborhood.  Area businesses gain market share (a multiplier effect upwards generated), tax revenue from business ownership to build more schools, more public services crime is reduced, children are in college/trade school the dv survivor becomes a home owner, becomes a contributing citizen, productive child graduates college he/she is productive another multiplier effect ....

This is what we have been doing here at Women Are Dreamers Too for the past 25 years

Please help us to help them. They just wish to breathe free of domestic violence so they may raise their children in peace.
