  1. Neighbors in a gated Milton community are on high alert after investigators say thieves targeted multiple homes. Milton police were called out Friday night to the Hayfield Neighborhood where two multi-million dollar homes were ransacked by burglars. Channel 2′s Elizabeth Rawlins spoke to one neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous. “Everyone is on alert,” said the neighbor. “Our doors are locked and we are nervous tonight.” According to investigators, the thieves targeted the homes while the homeowners were away, breaking inside and stealing high-priced items. It’s still unclear how the burglars were able to target not one but two homes inside the gated neighborhood. Source: Milton community on high alert after multiple robberies in neighborhood (msn.com)
  2. Police suspect that 46-year-old Abdul Batin Azzaam Rashid is responsible for the shooting. Investigators said Rashid was initially driving a black Nissan, but now believe he may be driving a dark gray 2011 BMW 550 with Georgia tag CTN3088. Police said a woman and her boyfriend were shot at a home off Plantation Bridge Drive. Both are in stable condition. The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Monday morning, right on the line of Alpharetta and Johns Creek. One of the victims told police Rashid was the shooter. The suspect is wanted for one count of aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, one count of aggravated assault, one count of burglary, one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and one count of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Rashid is considered armed and dangerous, according to police. He should not be approached. If you spot Rashid or his vehicle, contact the Johns Creek Police Department.
