We have counted and requested toys for all the children.
They do not issue gift certificates.
If you need food and holiday "stuff" Our Sponsor does all that.

WADT Inc.- Fulton Micro Enterprise Council is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, helping victims of Domestic Violence transcend poverty through micro-enterprise training.
WADT Inc. realizes that in addition to the risks and obstacles faced by all poor people, poor battered women face an additional batterer-generated risks, of abject poverty and homelessness. We further realize that the children (innocent by-standers) also suffer similar fate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our long-term economic solutions are aligned with programs that help survivors make permanent life changes. Women and children are enabled to transition into survivors who break the intergenerational abuse cycle. Our economic solutions provide new, all-encompassing services customized to meet the unique needs of each victim, women and children.
We address Domestic violence crisis by providing a unique, long-term, comprehensive solution that goes beyond emergency services. WaDt is a collaboration of several non-profit domestic violence and housing service agencies.
It is our sincere belief that through the creation of micro-entrepreneurs WADT will help foster sustainable economic independence among our candidates in order to move them towards self-determination.

If we don't help, the women and children become unproductive citizens, we create economic dependencies for generations yet unborn. If we don't help, the cycle of abuse becomes greater, the socio-economic costs become wider, psychic burden much heavier.
By helping we are helping our own lives, By helping, we create productive citizens, who contribute to the larger society.

October is domestic violence awareness month.
Pls. remember the souls of those lost while fleeing, remember the lives still at risk, remember those afraid of fleeing because of the batterer-generated economic risks.
But most especially remember the children.
Can you imagine if E did not flee with the kids? See how happy she has become.
See how happy the children have become, see how far she has come.
See how much progress she is making, see the self-esteem, see how she thinks and believes that the sky is the limit, see her passion and dedication to her work.
See her giving and loving spirit. We can duplicate all these over and over again, if they get help.
This is just our class! Pls get help. Our counselor will be available all semester long for folks still going through issues in our class.
Take a stand this month against domestic violence.
Do your part, collect phones, help a friend to seek help.
As we enter the holiday months, remember domestic violence victims don't know it's a holiday.
Help abused victims in your community.
If you are a victim of abuse, pls. seek help! You owe it to yourself, you owe it to your children. Pls. get help.

I was living in hell on Earth My name is Deb C. This is my story of survival. I am the mother of four boys. Until November 30,2007 our lives were a living hell. I have been in an abusive relationship for the past three years. Our abuser was arrested in Gwinnett County and has since been taken to DeKalb County. It seems as though he's going to be held long enough that my sons and I can move before he is released.Thank God!!! This man, the father of my three youngest boys, has physically, mentally, and emotionally abused me since 2004. He is a crack addict. My children and I have suffered so much since their father succumbed to drugs.
